Photographs

Over the years, the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Lemnos has created a significant collection of old photos depicting important events, landscapes, historical figures, social events and everyday moments. It includes around 350 photographs of various periods of the 20th century, which were digitalized thanks to a subsidy by the Ministry of Culture and Sports in 2021.

The whole photographic collection was first presented to the public in an exhibition called “Memories”, which was held by the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Lemnos in 1994. Twenty years later, in 2014, an important part of this collection was also put on display in a photography exhibition the club organized called “From the Past to the Present”. Our photographic collection is available to the public upon request.
