Exhibitions

The Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Lemnos has organized and participated in many exhibitions with a view to enriching the cultural life of the island.

    Art and photography exhibition called “Faces and Figures” where the students who attended the painting courses and the photography seminar of the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Lemnos presented their works. View Photos
  • August 1995
    Photography exhibition called “Memories”. Around 400 photos of the first half of the 20th century were put on display in the exhibition. These old photographs were given to our club by members of the local community so that they could be preserved and shown to the public. The same exhibition was held again in 1996 and its visitors also had the chance to admire Mr. Vyrona Manikakis’s photo collection, who was a famous photographer from Agios Efstratios. These photos depicted various aspects of life on the island and, most importantly, exiles’ way of living there.

    Folklore exhibition at the Vocational High School of Myrina. There was a model representing a traditional house of Lemnos, farming tools and postcards.
