Folk Dance Courses

Having the protection and spreading of our rich cultural heritage as our primary concern, the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Lemnos has been organizing folk dance courses for many years. People of all ages have the opportunity to attend these courses in order to develop their dance skills, enrich their knowledge of traditional dances from all around Greece, learn about their origin and their distinctive features and, of course, gain insight into the Lemnian culture and the local traditions.

During the year, our dancers have the chance to participate in various events as well as music and dance performances that the Lyceum Club of Greek Women holds annually. In addition, our dance groups have taken part in dance festivals in many different places in Greece and abroad, thus contributing to the preservation and promotion of our cultural heritage nationwide and worldwide.

  • How often: 2/week for adults, 1/week for children
  • Age group: children and adults
  • Instructors: Calliope Kartsampa, Vasilis Magnisalis, Athanasios Chalkas
