Donations & Sponsorships

The Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Lemnos is an organization of primary importance for the remote island of Lemnos, trying hard to enrich the cultural life of the island and promote local customs and traditions through its various activities. By supporting the work of the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Lemnos, you can participate actively in its mission.

Cash donations are the most direct way of contributing to the work of the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Lemnos. They provide us with financial support and help us fund specific programs and activities. Cash donations can be deposited into the organization’s bank accounts. Then, a receipt will be issued and a donation approval certificate will be provided to the donor. Donations can be published in the media if donors want to. The Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Lemnos also accepts donations aiming to cover a specific program’s or activity’s expenses. Should you be interested in such donations, the Board is willing to provide you with a list including the current needs of the organization and their corresponding cost.

Through their valuable assistance, sponsors enable us to hold a wide range of important cultural events, including performances, events, exhibitions, educational programs for children, book publications, archive and collection digitization. In addition to this, their efforts to foster cultural awareness and sensitivity are promoted and acknowledged by the public.

In 2018 the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) made a great donation to the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Lemnos in order to support our goals and improve the equipment in our premises.

In-Kind Donations

In-kind donations are a great way of enriching the Lyceum Club’s collections and archives. More specifically, the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Lemnos is interested in:

  • Traditional costumes or traditional clothing items
  • Traditional jewellery and accessories
  • Traditional attire-related photos
  • Photographic archives or valuable old photos
  • Folklore-related books and books for the lending library of the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Lemnos

All donations are recorded and made public if donors so wish.
